Carpark Permits - 'Number 8' Balmoral Avenue, Springvale Enquiry

Opening Times

Monday - Sunday: 7:00 am-11:00 pm

Location: 8 Balmoral Ave, Springvale VIC 3171

The car park features:

  • Casual parking  
  • Permit parking, General, Reserved, and Trader/Worker permits. Depending on the permit 3,6,12 or 24 months periods
  • Resident parking permits (special agreement with Council)
  • Electric vehicle charging stations
  • CCTV security surveillance
  • Public toilets
  • The Car Park can be accessed via Balmoral Avenue.

NOTE: Resident Parking Permits at Balmoral Ave carpark

Council made a legal agreement with the body corp and the residential unit owners of units in Buckingham Ave to provide car parking spaces at 8 Balmoral Ave car park.

Some units are owner-occupied and some are tenanted. We can expect to get calls from the owner, the tenant or the real estate agent.

Request to update car registrations on permits

Customer:

  • Advise the permit holder that Council is no longer recording car registrations on all car parking permits.They need to display the physical permit on which ever car is being used on the day.

Transfer or Cancel

Short term or permanent transfer is not permitted

Cancelling a permit 

Permit fee refunds will not be issued for unused periods of three months or less. For periods in excess of three months, must be submitted in writing along with supporting documentation & only the following circumstances will be considered: 

  • Illness (a medical certificate is required)
  • Work relocation (supporting documentation from employer).

Apply for a new permit

The Balmoral Ave carpark has different types of permits. 
 

  • General, Reserved and Trader Worker permits - Customer Service staff can resolve matters related to these permits. If you need assistance, call Parking permit admin number
  • Resident permits - these are special arrangements and currently can only be managed by the parking admin (Bev and Vicki),transfer to Parking Permit Admin,  if busy email  CSParkingpermits@cgd.vic.gov.au

  • Check form is completed and Scan to CSSupport
  • Advise the customer after form has been submitted they will receive a call within 7 days

Renewing a permit

General, Reserved or Trader Worker Permits

CSO:

  • SMS messages are sent to permit holders 2 weeks before the expiry date. It advises them to call Council on 8571 1000 to renew.
  • If permits expired, they will need to reapply for a new permit

How to renew a General, Reserved or Trader Worker Permits

Replace a permit

There is a fee of $10 for replacing all types of permits

DO NOT RECEIPT THIS PAYMENT TO THE PERMIT. 

Replace Lost General, Reserved or Trader Worker Permits

Customer:

  • Advise the customer to complete the Statutory declaration and present it in person to one of our CS Centres to obtain a replacement. We don't post permits due to the high volume of lost permits
  • Damaged permits are replaced free of charge if they can return the damaged permit.

If the customer has presented with the statutory declaration, go to this process to replace and receipt payment

Resident permits - transfer to parking permit admin

Do not replace resident permits, it is currently managed by the parking admin (Bev and Vicki), transfer to the Parking Permit Admin, if busy email  CSParkingpermits@cgd.vic.gov.au
