Abandoned Shopping Trolley Reports

Abandoned shopping trolleys are the responsibility of the company that owns them to pick up.
Check with the customer who owns the trolley. Then provide the hotline number to them to report, you can also cold transfer the call to the relevant hotline number
 

Important Note:

Council will only investigate further if the trolley(s) have been previously reported to the hotlines and they have allowed at least 2 weeks for the company to retrieve the trolley. If this is the case then enter the report below.

Complete merit

Trolley Dumped > Shopping Trolley

Ask and record in the description of Merit:

  • The exact location of the trolley 
  • Who owns the trolley (if known)
  • Date reported the hotline for pickup? If not 2 weeks ago, advise the customer to call back after 2 weeks. Do not enter a report.

Advise the customer:
It will take up to 2 weeks for the council to pick up. Call back after 2 weeks if the matter is still not resolved with Council's report number
