All Council's venues for hire are listed on our website, www,greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au 

The listing on our site has the following:

  • Facilities like the following:

    AV Equipment, including electronic screens, data-projectors, TV, speakers

Customers who don't know what venues Council has for hire

Customers should go to our website first. They can check which venues we have and if they wish to check availability each venue has an online booking request form that the customer can complete. It will go directly to the Civic Facilities team.

Hire fees

The cost of hiring a Council venue for hire is listed on our website under the actual venue. Hire costs and security deposits are payable at least a month prior to the hire date.

Most venues offer a discounted rate for community groups.

Hire conditions

Most of our venues require hirers to provide proof of $20 million public liability insurance or purchase occasional public liability insurance from Council.

Each listed venue for hire on our website has the hire terms and conditions.

Collecting Keys for Booked Council Venue's

A Civic attendant/Venue Officer will call the hirer a week prior to booking to schedule a key hand-over.

Non-Council Owned venues for hire

There are many privately owned halls within CGD like:

  • Neighbourhood houses and community centres
  • Halls in places of worship
  • Scout halls
  • Community organisations with available meeting rooms

The customer will need to check by visiting the venues directly or checking if these venues have an internet contact number.

Hire Harmony Square or Big Screen in Dandenong or Springvale

Harmony Square is Dandenong’s civic heart located centrally in Lonsdale Street and nestled amongs public amenities including the Library, council offices and Drum Theatre. 

The Square is available for hire for large events, it comes with the following facilities:
