  • First,determine who is the responsible authority:
  • Go to Intramaps and search for the address, The map is colour-coded, see the picture below 
  • If the issue is over a railway level crossing or railway station car park then customers to contact the metro railway fault line on Phone: 1800 001 050

   VicRoads Owned Roads are Orange                       Council Owned Roads are White

  • What is the exact location?
  • What is the issue?

If an accident has occurred, follow the process for safety response process below

  • Select Safety Response in the priority field in Merit
  • Before you save the Merit, call it through:

    Monday to Friday between 8.30 am - 5.00 pm - call Operation Centre
    Monday to Friday, if your call goes past 5.00 pm, call the following contacts in order:

    Provide them with the details of the Merit and save.

CSO:

  • Advise the customer that VicRoads is responsible for maintaining their roads
    Offer to transfer (cold transfer)or provide the number so they can call later Ph: 13 11 71, they can also report online at www.vicroads.com.au

If the customer insists on Council dealing with the issue
CSO:

  • Take the details, advise the customer you will report it to VicRoads.
  • Then call the faults line number and report to VicRoads
