  • First,determine who is the responsible authority:
  • Go to Intramaps and search for the address, The map is colour-coded, see the picture below 
  • If the issue is over a railway level crossing or railway station car park then customers to contact the metro railway fault line on Phone: 1800 001 050

   VicRoads Owned Roads are Orange                       Council Owned Roads are White

Is the customer requesting compensation from Council?

Damage to road surface excluding potholes

Other issues with the surface of the road, including uneven due to grading, bitumen, etc.

Major Spills like oil, petrol, sheets of glass, tools etc - Not from a Building Site

For large objects or spills on the road like oil, petrol, large sheets of glass, treat at a safety response merits. Call the Operation Centre before saving the report.

Mud and Debris from Building Sites on the Road

Mud or debris on the road due to the building site or due to construction site vehicles. This is a matter for local laws to investigate and request for the site to be cleaned by the offender.

  • Advise the customer that VicRoads is responsible for maintaining their roads
