Liberty Swing and Disability-Friendly Public Toilets with Change Room

What is a liberty Swing?

The Liberty Swing has several special features that make it safe and simple to use. It includes:
•    an access ramp
•    a wheel locking mechanism
•    a pop-up seat for people with mobility impairments
•    a safety harness.
•    The swing meets relevant Australian Standards.

How to gain access to use the swing?

To use the swing, you need will to purchase an access key (MLAK).


How to purchase an MLAK

A key must be purchased from a locksmith who is registered with the Master Locksmith Association for a small cost.

How to operate the swing?

The instructions for how to use the Liberty Swing are posted on a sign at the swing site. 

  • Follow these instructions to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
  • You and other swing users accept that you use the swing at your own risk.
  • Council and its employees and agents accept no liability for loss or injury occurring on this facility. Only one person is allowed on the swing at any one time.
  • Ensure you securely lock the ramp after you have finished using it.

The toilets are available during the opening hours of the facility

  • First contact security to open the door to the toilet,they have an MLAK key
  • If security is unavailable, get the MLAK key at your centre and open the toilet for the customer. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE KEY
