Waste Management Recycle Bin Audit Reports

We have been receiving calls regarding Council worker checking bins, you can advise the resident of the following.

Waste Management have started auditing recycle bins due for collection from Monday 17th January.
They will be checking for deliberate contamination.

If the bin is contaminated with e.g garden waste, plastic, building material etc.

  • A pink sticker will be placed on the bin with a tick related to the item that caused the contamination
  • A letter will be placed in the resident’s letterbox.

The bin will not be picked up, the resident needs to remove the contaminated items and wait till next scheduled pick up. 
If the customer wants to complain about this process, do not ring JJ's Waste, Enter a report and Waste Management will contact them.

How to enter a report

Complete Merit

Rubbish > Service issue > General Enquiry

Advise customer the enquiry will be forwarded to Waste Services Unit, who will follow up with the contractor and get back to the customer within 3 days.

Ask and record in the description of Merit
