Most veterinary clinics are able to implant microchips. Alternatively, Council's Animal Management Officers can also implant microchips for pension card holders.

- Must be a resident of in the City of Greater Dandenong
- Must have a valid pension card or Gold TPI card
- Must have a Source Code number, what is a Source Number

- Confirm the customer meets the following conditions:
- Must be a resident of in the City of Greater Dandenong
- Must have a valid pension card or Gold TPI card
- Must have a Source Code number, what is a Source Number
- Complete Merit request Animal > Microchipping Request
- UDF need to be completed
- Receipt payment to GL- /ACmicrochips (Payment Methods)
- Enter the receipt number in the description of Merit
- Advise the customer:
A Council officer will contact them to schedule a visit for the microchip and verify the pension or Gold TPI card before insertion.
